Grand Rapid’s native son Dave Rozema pitched for the Tigers from 1977 through 1984 when he was part of the Tigers’ ’84 World Series Championship team. Recently “Rosey” has appeared on the TV show American Pickers. He is known as one of the all-time Detroit Tiger “characters” from his life-loving, free-wheeling antics on and off the field. Baseballs and 8x10 photos from Rosey’s playing days will be available for purchase at the events.
Ray Bentley played in Super Bowls XXV and XXVI with the Buffalo Bills and will have his Super Bowl rings on hand along with his 1983 Michigan Panther USFL Championship ring. Bentley has been a morning radio show host in West Michigan for over a decade. Copies of Ray Bentley’s novel Driftwood and four of Bentley’s children’s books will be available as well as football cards, mini-helmets and 8 x 10 photos from Ray’s playing days.
The Dennis Anderson Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the memory of Dennis Anderson. Each year a student is selected to receive a scholarship from this fund.
